  • STEP ONE: DEVELOPMENT
    So, let's talk about the movie-making process. It all starts with the development stage. This is when the initial concept and details of the movie are fleshed out. It could be someone who has a brilliant idea or is working on an adaptation of a book or article. At this stage, a writer might pitch their script to movie production companies, a producer, or other individuals who have the means to finance a film.

    Out of all the stages in filmmaking, the production phase often presents the most budgetary challenges for film companies. Unexpected obstacles, location issues, reshoots, or other problems can arise and cause headaches for producers.
    Once the first scene is shot, post-production can begin. Editors are brought in to select the best takes and start putting together a rough cut.
